This isn’t the trickiest thing in the world, but there are some things you need to know:

Find Your Concealer Shade

For best results, the concealer you use should be a shade or two lighter than your regular skin tone. This is because concealer needs to blend into your skin, while also masking discoloration. For underneath the eyebrow, in particular, people may opt to use choose a concealer that is two shades lighter than their skin tone, as it can double as a highlighter.

To figure out the perfect concealer shade, do some swatch tests on your wrist. Once you find a shade that looks lighter and matches your skin’s undertone, test it by applying it to the brow bone. Once you have found the perfect concealer to suit your purpose, you are ready to level up your eyebrow game. To successfully use concealer with your brows, make sure you:

• Shape your brows. Nicely groomed brows are key to mastering the perfect brow. Shape your brows by tweezing, waxing, or threading, paying special attention to the arch. The arch is the pinnacle of the brow, so keeping it clean is important.

Depending on the natural appearance of the brow, it can sometimes be difficult to determine how you should go about shaping them. There is a trick that can help you figure it out. All you will need is a brow pencil and something that is long with a straight edge, like a makeup brush or ruler.

• Find your brow's starting point. Take your straight edge tool and gently rest it vertically against the middle of the nostril. Where the straight edge of the tool meets your brow bone is where your eyebrow should begin. Take your brow pencil and mark this spot.
• Find your perfect brow arch. Position your tool vertically against the midpoint of your nostril. Then pivot the tip outwards towards your eye, so that it makes a diagonal line. Line up your nostril to the outer rim of your iris (the colored part of the eye). Where the tool extends to meet the brow is where your arch should be. Mark this spot using the brow pencil.
• Find the end of your brow tail. Just like with the last technique, rest your tool against the middle of your nostril and pivot the tip of the tool outwards towards your eye. This time, line up the edge of the tool to the outer corner of your eye. Where the tool extends to touch your brow bone is the ideal end point for your eyebrows. Mark this point.
• Connect the dots. Using your brow pencil, connect the dots between the three points that you marked with the above technique. This is the general shape that your brows should be.
• Remove unwanted brow hair. There are many options when it comes to grooming your brows and moving unwanted hair. Tweezing, waxing, and threading are all common methods that people use. Tweezing is generally the easiest and most thorough method to do at home.

Once you have outlined the shape of your eyebrows, you can begin to refine them. Here are some advanced tips for grooming and maintaining amazing brows:

• Trimming the brow hairs. Having brow hairs that are too long can throw off the look of the brows and make it hard for them to stay throughout the day. Take a spoolie brush and brush the eyebrow hairs upwards towards the sky.
  Next, you will use a pair of eyebrow scissors to trim the longer brow hairs. You don't want to create a too-short lop, so turn your attention to the brow hairs that are longer than the others. Snip these long hairs individually and carefully, taking time after every one or two snips to lean back and assess the work. Brow hairs do not need to be uniform length, the goal here is simply to shorten the ones that are longer and more likely to throw off the final shape of the brow.
• Plucking the right way. Plucking is perhaps the most common way to remove brow hair. For good reason - it is an inexpensive, thorough, and effective method that you can do from home. But there are some tricks you can use to make sure that you're using those tweezers in the best way.
  Before plucking, gently massage a good facial oil around the plucking sight. This helps prevent the brow hair from breaking when you try to pluck it and lessens the sting of pulling brow hair out.

The length of your eyebrow has a major role when it comes to your face. An eyebrow tail that is too short can make the eyes look smaller, while a tail that is too long can draw facial features downwards. When we try to extend our tails too far, we can end up with a look we did not intend.

To find the perfect eyebrow length, all you need is a pencil, makeup brush, or anything that is long with a straight edge. Bring the side of the tool to lay against the middle of your nostril and line it up to the outer corner of your eye. Where the pencil reaches your brow bone is where the end of your eyebrow tail should be. Draw out your brow up to this point.

When it comes to filling in your brows, there are generally two ways people do it: through the use of a brow-specific product such as a brow pencil or brow cream, or using powder like eyeshadow. Whichever way you prefer, we have tips.

• Start at the arch. The middle of the brow is where the bulk of hair naturally is and we tend to be heavy handed when we start applying brow product. Starting with the arch helps you gauge application for the start of the brow and the tail.
• Use short strokes. Apply the brow product with short, quick strokes in the direction the hair grows. The idea is to create small lines that emulate brow hair strands, to make even a bold brow look natural.

When using eyeshadow or powder, you should:

• Use an angled brush. Blunt or curved brushes will smudge powder, while an angled brush gives you more control.
• Try using two different shades. For natural brows that still have bite to them, using two different color powders can be a solution. Choose two colors from the same color family, one lighter and one darker. Apply the lighter powder at the start of the brow and use the same brush to apply the darker color towards the end of the brow. The colors should blend over the arch.

Achieving the Right Brow Fade
